Rapid Short-Term Price Hike for Dyes, Key Intermediates Become Major Driver of Price Increases

From January 21 to 29, the average market price of disperse dyes rose from 17 yuan/kg to 19 yuan/kg, representing a growth of 11.76%; reactive dyes increased from 22 yuan/kg to 23 yuan/kg, up by 4.55%. Leading enterprises such as Zhejiang Longsheng and Runtu Chemical raised prices of multiple product varieties by 1,000 to 3,000 yuan per ton.The core driver lies in the sharp surge in the price of reductone, a key intermediate for disperse dyes, which jumped from 25,000 yuan/ton to 38,000 yuan/ton, a surge of 52%.Affected by stringent environmental and safety supervision, the production capacity of reductone is highly concentrated, with only three enterprises maintaining stable supply. Cost pressures have been directly transmitted to downstream products.
