Pure potassium sulfate (SOP) is colorless crystal, and the appearance of potassium sulfate for agricultural use is mostly light yellow. Potassium sulfate has low hygroscopicity, is not easy to agglomerate, has good physical properties, is easy to apply, and is a very good water-soluble potash fertilizer.

Potassium sulfate is a common potassium fertilizer in agriculture, and the content of potassium oxide is 50 ~ 52%.It can be used as base fertilizer, seed fertilizer and topdressing fertilizer. It is also an important component of compound fertilizer nutrients.

Potassium sulfate is particularly suitable for cash crops that avoid the use of potassium chloride, such as tobacco, grapes, beets, tea trees, potatoes, flax, and various fruit trees. It is also the main ingredient in the manufacture of ternary compost containing no chlorine, nitrogen or phosphorus.


Industrial USES include serum protein biochemical tests, catalysts for Kjeldahl and basic materials for the production of various potassium salts such as potassium carbonate and potassium persulfate. Used as a cleaning agent in the glass industry. Used as intermediate in dye industry. Used as an additive in the perfume industry. It is also used in the pharmaceutical industry as a cathartic for the treatment of soluble barium salt poisoning.
